zumba

Just to let everyone know the ARC is holding what is called "Health Fest" at the Multi Purpose Room all day tomorrow. During common hour there will be Zumba where anyone can join in.  Zumba is the latest craze that is starting to be incorporated into the physical education curriculum.  Zumba is a fusion of dance styles that goes from high intensity to low instensity.  It is a great way to get involved!  Dr. Nichols is in charge and I will be teaching it.  I hope that everyone can make it out.  There's a lot of handouts and goodies to grab on the way out if you attend.  We are all PE majors that are trying to make a difference in the world,  so, a few minutes of your time would mean a lot to those that are running it. Just look for a girl in pink pants, that will be me! And don't be afraid to join in because once you start  you won't even realize that you're working out because you'll be having fun and dancing to the music.

  1. Zumba is defiantly a great way to incorporate dance into PE. I have taken zumba classes before and they are a lot of fun. Im not a very good dancer either so zumba is enjoyable even if you can't dance. The classes really get your heart rate up so if you get the chance to take a zumba class, take it!

  2. I always wanted to do zumba! I dont like how it costs money now down at the arc, but next semester i am doing it no matter what! I see ads and tv commercials on for it all the time and my best friend jenna would always go to it too. She said it was always fun. I love the fact that you wont even realize youre working out because its dancing, and its just having funn! Ill be there next semester <3 :)
